WordPress + WordCamp 2011

Two weeks ago, I went down to Portsmouth to attend the annual WordPress conference WordCamp UK.

Since our agency specialises in WordPress development, we felt the need to attend such conference for several reason:

1) To see what is happening in the industry overall

2) To get inspiration for our new WordPress projects

3) To meet our competitors

4) To make ourselves more visible in the WordPress world

On the reflection, I have to say that all of the objective has been achieved and I had a truly great time at WordCamp in Portsmouth this year.

Some factual round up of the events/information that has been passed on is on our company blog.

MediaPro 2010 Conference

Yesterday I attended the mediaPro 2010 Conference at Olympia in Kensington, London UK.

MediaPro focuses on the future of marketing and communications.

I was especially interested in the Adobe Theatre and Social Media Theatre.

Interesting was to see how large companies take Social Media strategy seriously and how they have a complex marketing processes designed to get the best out of this channel.

The most interesting was to see just how Adobe keeps on the top of the (software) game. So I will dedicate a separate blog post to Adobe’s product development strategy that fascinates me.
