Eventful day & awesome week

I had the most amazing day yesterday!

I’ve been privileged to have a private tour of the House of Lords and the House of Commons by someone I really admire and respect: Lord Richard Harries.

House of Lords

The experience on its own have been breathtaking. And to top it up (!!!), we have bumped into Lord Sugar himself on the stairs! I was in a total shock!!!! Lord Sugar himself!!!! Amazing. I’m still speechless :)

On a different note, I feel we are entering a new level of service at Moove Agency. Our processes are well defined, team works famously together, production is smooth AND we started to suggest creative and technical solutions to solve our client’s problems. From now on, it’s us who drive the production, advise clients and deliver more than clients could even imagine yesterday (I’m not kidding!). We are becoming a REAL creative agency. And we are just at the beginning.

ADELE phenomen

So who is not in love with ADELE? :)

I just bought both of her albums on iTunes :)

It’s amazing to watch how popular this singer got. Breaking records of Madonna and Beatles. Beautiful music, powerful and touching lyrics. It’s breathtaking and refreshing to see someone so real, honest and herself. And it’s amazing to see how much this is appreciated by masses.

My prayer for today would be that everyone would be so honest, good to others, and  hard-working. Success beyond measure will follow….

Switching from iStockPhoto

It was quite a while since our web design agency wanted to switch from iStockPhoto to another royalty-free stock library.

The reasons are

a) ever increasing prices for image purchases

b) somewhat awkward  search

I like this article that summarises the alternatives.

At the bottom of the article is a poll and you can see that what annoys people about iStockPhoto most is the price:

region-capture-1

At Moove, we will be testing the alternatives and I will post our findings here on my blog.

Which comes first, the curiosity or the success?

I was just browsing the internet in a search of some blogs of inspiring people to follow.

I found Seth’s Blog and immediately the second article I saw made me think.

Seth raised the question “Which comes first, the curiosity or the success?” and I thought I can discuss it openly on my own blog.

From my personal experience, I would say that the curiosity comes far earlier in the process than the success. Today and every day I found myself being curious about many subjects. Few of them I pursue with greater interest : web design, entrepreneurship, personal development. But successes in these areas don’t come easily and don’t come instantly. Curiosity just opens the doors for me to enter yet another dark room of possibilities. Success is somewhere in that dark room and the problem is that it is not always easy to understand where that success lies and how to get to it. Curiosity helps me to keep on going and learning and trying until I get to that place where I understand principles of this dark room, I can use those principles to achieve something, I can share the principles and help others benefit. That’s when I reach success in my definition.

Curiosity is a starting point of a journey, success is the end of it.
