WordPress + WordCamp 2011

Two weeks ago, I went down to Portsmouth to attend the annual WordPress conference WordCamp UK.

Since our agency specialises in WordPress development, we felt the need to attend such conference for several reason:

1) To see what is happening in the industry overall

2) To get inspiration for our new WordPress projects

3) To meet our competitors

4) To make ourselves more visible in the WordPress world

On the reflection, I have to say that all of the objective has been achieved and I had a truly great time at WordCamp in Portsmouth this year.

Some factual round up of the events/information that has been passed on is on our company blog.

WordPress conference - WordCamp UK

WordCamp UK starts tomorrow (16 – 17 July 2011).

WordCamp is the UK’s largest WordPress weekend conference that focuses on everything WordPress. WordCamps are informal, community-organised events that are put together by WordPress users. Everyone from casual users to core developers participate, share ideas, and get to know each other.

I will be there and tweeting from our Twitter account @MooveAgency.

WordCamps - A Wordpress Conference in London?

“WordCamp is a conference that focuses on everything WordPress. WordCamps are informal, community-organized events that are put together by WordPress users like you. Everyone from casual users to core developers participate, share ideas, and get to know each other.”

I would really like to attend one of those WordCamps Conferences. The problem is, they don’t seem to happen in London, UK. I know I know, not everything needs to happen in London but…it should be here anyway, it’s London! :)

In every case, to attend a WordCamp will be on my wish-list for the next year.
